CITY OF TRINIDAD and City Council
Attention: City Manager
Eli,
Sorry, but you then must also allow for self-attested exemptions per the same state guidance. As you say, “Our Insurer insists…”
I’d bet our Insurer and the City Council would appreciate a heads up about the possible legal trouble you are getting the City and yourself into by exceeding the state guidance — discrimination against us and excluding us from public government places is reprehensible and a violation of our Constitutional Rights.
You are on notice from myself and Tyler, which Tyler dropped off and I emailed today, “that masking of adults and children is wrong on legal, ethical, and common sense grounds. We conscientiously object for health, religious, legal, ethical, and personal reasons.”
We served official notice that Tyler and I do not consent to being forced to wear a mask. As residents, a business owner and as advocates, we will not fail to take the maximum action permissible under the law against the CITY OF TRINIDAD, and against individuals, like you, personally. Accordingly, I urge you, again, to comply with Federal and State law and advise everyone, they have a right to refuse to wear a mask as a measure to prevent or reduce infection from COVID-19. Any other course of action is contrary to the law.
Please confirm no further pressure will be exerted upon Tyler James Hubbard or myself to follow illegal CITY OF TRINIDAD mask mandates, and that we will not face any more continued, retaliatory action including, but not limited to, personal discrimination and being excluded access to (locked out of) public offices and spaces.
Sincerely, Mike Morgan

Questions & Answers
How does a business verify if someone meets a masking exemption?
Businesses may deem a customer, guest or attendee to have self-attested that they have met an approved masking exemption, if the business has prominently displayed signage prior to entry explaining the masking requirements for all individuals to wear a mask and the individual enters the business premises without wearing a mask.
